The Eastern Cape, Bisho born muso Nani, caught the music bug at an early age. From watching her grandparents belting out church hymns at a farm in KwaGubevu, to admiring her uncles’ talents as well-respected choir conductors, made the choice to get into music for the lass, all the easier. After she matriculated, she moved to Johannesburg and enrolled for a music and performance course at AFDA, where she graduated after three years, and immediately set sail to launch her music career. Under the guidance of her former manager Themba Makamo, she began recording songs, and it wasn’t long that she felt ready to work on her debut album. The 11 track offering sees South Africa’s leading musos landing their talents to produce a well thought out music album. Produced by CJC music production graduate Mpho Ludidi, the album fuses distinctly African folk and ethnic elements, with a touch of contemporary soul music.
