TIMO ABDUL AZIZ PAHAD(Rapper, Voice Over Artist, Actor, Poet, Disk Jockey, Events Coordinator, entrepreneur). Many artists struggle to identify their uniqueness in their music which results in most of them sounding the same due to pop culture and how music is sounding in that specific era, but there are those artists who emerge victorious in inventing a sound that has never been heard before. Timo Abdul Aziz Pahad is one of those artists that has no doubt managed to master his craft in terms of originality, versatility and providing his audience with a fresh new sound that has never existed before and still has them asking for more.
His new album titled the Smokers Section Volume 1 is a captivating and moving debut that heralds the arrival of a gifted and significant new talent in the South African music industry, one which will have a significant impact on how music might sound in the near future. Born in the Eastern Cape in a Small village called CALA, Timo spent most of his childhood in Pretoria and Cape Town, during his primary school times he enjoyed doing class orals that’s where he would get a chance to entertain his class mates and impress his teachers by what he loves doing, little did he know, that years later he would be pursuing a career in music entertainment. So he explains at school I used to love anything that has to do with entertaining an audience from singing/rapping in class orals, performing in school karaoke’s and free style rapping sessions with my friends during lunch time, I used to be one of those kids who could recite the latest rap songs word for word and I was one of the first few kids to know it. I was so good at reciting other people’s songs that years later I got inspired to write my own songs and started performing in cipher sessions in High School as well as local Hip Hop gatherings like Park Jams and Open mic sessions etc.
